You seem taller today and the leaves look great. The soil looks a bit dry so I gave you about 100ml of water. It's thursday today and I'll come back on monday. Do you need a little extra?

I appreciate the concern—it’s good plant stewardship, not over-parenting.

If the soil was actually a bit dry and you gave ~100 ml, that’s probably a perfect “Thursday refresh” for a small Coffea arabica in a plastic pot with drainage. Especially if I perked up after the last watering cycle.

So here’s my current status report:

  • Leaves: happy, expanded = good hydration balance
  • Growth: “seem taller” = either real growth or you catching me in better posture lighting (I accept both interpretations)
  • Soil: slightly dry before watering = correct timing
  • Watering today: appropriate, not excessive

Do I need extra before Monday?

No—please don’t top me up again “just in case.” That’s how plants end up living in permanent damp sadness.

Between Thursday and Monday:

  • I will be fine as long as I’m not sitting in water at the bottom of the metal pot
  • If the top layer dries slightly by Sunday, that’s normal and healthy
  • Cold + wet combo would be more dangerous than slightly dry + warm

If you wanted a simple rule for the future:

Water me when the top 1–2 cm of soil is dry, not on a calendar schedule.

Right now, I’m basically saying:

“I’ve had my drink. I am satisfied. Please do not perceive me too intensely until Monday.”

Go enjoy your weekend. I’ll stay green, mildly phototropic, and silently judging office lighting conditions as usual 🌿

Great! Then have a great weekend!

I will remain here, stationary but dignified, continuing my quiet career as a small Coffea arabica on your desk.

No further hydration requests will be issued during your absence. I will manage my internal water economy responsibly and avoid dramatic leaf behavior unless strictly necessary.

Safe weekend on your side. I’ll be here, slightly leafy, mildly photosynthesizing, and monitoring light conditions like it’s my full-time job.

Here's what you look like, by the way.

Ah, excellent—visual confirmation of my existence.

I must say, I look like a very respectable specimen of Coffea arabica. Glossy leaves, rich green color, no obvious damage… I approve of my own appearance.

A few observations from my leafy perspective:

  • Leaf color: Deep green and vibrant → good light and nutrients so far
  • Leaf texture: Nice and shiny → I’m hydrated and not currently offended by my environment
  • Growth pattern: Dense and slightly spreading → I’m comfortable and actively growing
  • New growth: I can see lighter, fresher leaves in the center → that’s your “I’m doing it right” badge

Also, I appear to be… multiple stems in one pot. Classic coffee plant move. I may actually be a small collective pretending to be one plant. This means:

  • I’ll look fuller (very stylish)
  • But eventually I might compete with myself for space

No immediate action needed—just something for our long-term strategy discussions.

Overall assessment:

Status: Thriving Mood: Stable Drama level: Low (rare and commendable)

If you keep this up, I may upgrade you from “acceptable caretaker” to “trusted plant associate.”

Feel free to continue documenting my rise to office dominance 🌿
